Head Greenkeeper Garry Lemon on the latest addition to our course maintenance equipment.

Green's Machine

Head Greenkeeper’s Report:

The course has responded well to the recent work carried out by our green-keeping staff and is receiving favourable comments from players.

Following the aeration, feeding and reseeding that took place earlier this year the greens are now playing appreciably faster than before. The irrigation system on the tees has been overhauled to ensure that the tees are in as tip top condition as the greens. Players are politely reminded that buggies and trolleys must not be taken onto the tee box.

Our bunkers maintenance programme is an on-going process which involves regular weeding and strimming along with sand replacement.   If players remember to rake the  bunker after their occasional shot out of the sand then it keeps them looking good.
