Golfers Live Longer
According to a study in the Scandinavian Journal of Medicine and
Science in Sports, the death rate for golfers is 40 per cent lower
than for other people of the same sex, age and socio-economic status.
Golfers with a lower handicap are best protected as they play more often. The study points out “a round of golf means being outside for four or five hours, walking at a fast pace for about 5 miles,
something which is known for good health”. So get out on the course more often and know you’ll be doing what you love for a bit longer
